A little clarity

Questions, answered.

Can Sperata tell me whether labour has started?

No. Sperata does not diagnose, predict or medically monitor labour, and it cannot tell you whether a pattern is normal. Follow the guidance from your midwife, maternity unit, doctor or another qualified professional.

How are duration and interval calculated?

Duration is the recorded end time minus the start time. An interval is measured from the start of one contraction to the start of the next in the same recorded session. Recent rhythm is a visual summary of saved entries, not a medical assessment.

What does intensity mean?

Light, Medium and Strong are optional personal labels you choose. They are not a medical measurement. A contraction without a rating remains unrated.

What happens to older records in Free?

Free shows the latest five saved contractions in History and Insights. Older saved records are retained; Pro makes the full saved history visible. You can export the data stored on your iPhone as JSON without Pro.

Where are my records stored?

The main contraction history is stored locally in the app on your iPhone. You do not need a Sperata account, and Sperata does not automatically send your contraction history to the developer. Read the Privacy Policy for details about Apple-device surfaces, backups and exports.

Is the breathing guide required?

No. Breathing tools are optional comfort features. Use a pace only while it feels comfortable. Stop and return to normal breathing if you feel dizzy or uncomfortable.

How do I restore Pro access?

Open Sperata on your iPhone, go to Settings → Purchases → Restore purchases. This checks Pro access again on the device; it does not restore deleted contraction records. If access is still missing, use Subscription help below.
